| Of the two layers of heating wire, there is only one layer of wire that possesses the function of heating up. When abnormal occurrence such as crossing or overlapping occurs with the heating wire, the heat value will increase in duplication and overheating will occur at local part of electric blanket. If the overheating cannot be controlled, fire would be caused when temperature reaches the ignition point. Since double-layered wire is adopted, thermo-fusible mass is located between the two layers. The melting point of this fusible mass is lower than the ignition point, so when the temperature of electric blanket increases to the melting point of the fusible mass, the fusible mass will melt firstly, thus the two layers of heating wires would be connected, and concerned signal will be feed back to switch that will cut off the power. Therefore the fire due to improper application of electric blanket can be avoided. |
